CRUE UNIVERSIDADES ESPAÑOLAS ANTE EL RETO DE LA OPEN SCIENCE

Resumen

El artículo es una reflexión sobre la Open Science y el cambio que representa para todos los agentes implicados en él: financiadores, investigadores y editores. El cambio, necesario e imprescindible, ya que el sistema actual de acceso a la información y de generación, evaluación y difusión del conocimiento es insostenible, sólo parece ser posible con la participación y el acuerdo de todos los agentes implicados y mediante la persuasión y el convencimiento de su necesidad, sin imposiciones ni plazos predeterminados. La reflexión tiene su raíz en la aprobación reciente por parte de la Asamblea General de Crue Universidades Españolas de un documento de compromisos ante la Open Science con el fin de tener un conocimiento dinámico del estado de las universidades españolas respecto a su implantación; impulsar un posicionamiento de la Administración, a través del propio posicionamiento de Crue, y estar presente como sistema universitario español en los diferentes foros europeos en los que se debate el tema.

This article is a reflection on Open Science and the change it represents for everyone involved in it: funders, researchers and editors. The change, both necessary and essential, since the current system of access to information and generation, evaluation and dissemination of knowledge is unsustainable, appears to only be possible with the participation and agreement of all the agents involved and through persuading and convincing them of the need for it, with no imposition nor predetermined deadlines. The reflection is rooted in the recent approval by the General Assembly of Crue (Conference of Spanish University Rectors) of a document of commitments to Open Science in order to have a dynamic understanding of the state of its implementation in Spanish universities; to promote a stance in the Administration, through Crue's own stance, and to be present as a Spanish university system in the various European forums where the subject is discussed.
