Abstract
The document provides a comparative analysis of the Royal Decree 713/2024, which modernizes and strengthens the Consumer Arbitration System. The new decree updates the previous legislation (Royal Decree 231/2008) to align with recent European Union directives and national laws, especially in light of the digitalization and increasing cross-border transactions within the EU. The analysis covers the decree's legal framework, its structural content, and the procedural changes it introduces, including faster and more efficient conflict resolution mechanisms. The document also contrasts the new decree with the previous one, highlighting both improvements and areas that still require attention.
