Going international in order to share and learn: erasmus experiences at University of Barcelona rare book and manuscript CRAI library

Abstract

Faced with the challenges university rare book librarians have to deal with, and within a context of informal education, getting to know similar European collections through the Erasmus+ programme is a valuable opportunity. In 2018 and 2019 the University of Barcelona Rare Book and Manuscript CRAI Library invited 13 professionals from 8 different countries, with a very positive outcome, largely due to scheduled activities promoting visitors’ involvement and sharing of experiences, which turned out to be enriching for all parts
