Las bibliotecas y Ovidio: a tool to disseminate a contextualized digital heritage.
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this communication is to present the blog "Las bibliotecas y Ovidio: un blog sobre bibliotecas, sobre libros y sobre Ovidio" ("Libraries and Ovid: A blog about libraries, about books and about Ovid"), which is an opportunity to contextualize the specimens that are gradually being placed on the virtual shelves of the BIBLIOTECA DIGITAL OVIDIANA (OVIDIAN DIGITAL LIBRARY), approaching them in a different way, no longer as "atomized" individuals that are studied through the dissected file, but as an integral part of a library through which a sort of virtual visit takes place, taking advantage of the presence of the illustrated copies of the Ovidian works. An invitation to get to know together the copies studied and their "homes", the almost one hundred libraries visited physically in these fifteen years of work of the project BIBLIOTECA DIGITAL OVIDIANA: ediciones ilustradas de Ovidio en las bibliotecas españolas, siglos XV-XIX.
