Relaciones de sucesos and old periodicals A challenge for collective catalogues

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to show the difficulties that we may face when it comes to identifying, locate and describe the “relaciones de sucesos” and the first periodicals in the work of preparing a collective catalogue of libraries.  To this end, both editorial genres and their bibliographic treatment in the different institutions are defined. It shows how they were considered almost minor prints without identifying each of the different editions. As well as the monographic treatment of many old publications when it comes to being catalogued in the pas compared to the current detailed study.
