Abstract

Educational wall maps were present in classrooms from primary schools up to universities from mid XIX century until its disuse at the end of the XX century. Therefore, they are part of the bibliographical and educational heritage of universities. Using the collection of the map library of Universitat de València, some of their characteristics and the evolution of this type of maps are approached. Additionally, the actions carried out by the map library to conserve these funds are described.
