The study of engraved illustrations as a source of bibliographic information some cases

Abstract
Here are some cases of engraved illustrations in Spanish books from the early days of printing. They show the great variety of content that can be found in engraved illustrations: from the beginnings of an engraving workshop in the incunabula era, to the deduction of the existence of a missing edition. On the ownership of the matrices of the engravings and on the use of illustrations as a vehicle for political or religious propaganda.
