La admiración de las nuevas generaciones hacia la cultura americana en detrimento de la propia es un hecho de sobra conocido, por lo que la revalorización del Patrimonio artístico español supone un objetivo a conseguir por la sociedad. Y es ahí donde el docente juega un papel fundamental al estar en contacto directo con los jóvenes. El siguiente artículo describe el proceso seguido en un aula de primaria referido a la aplicación de un proyecto experimental en el que la danza folclórica es utilizada como vía de conocimiento y aprendizaje de la propia cultura de los discentes, pudiendo concluir que la utilización de este estilo de danza en el ámbito educativo produce beneficios a más escala que el simple conocimiento, reconocimiento y valoración del propio patrimonio, al intervenir de manera decisiva en el desarrollo integral del alumnado, resultando de este modo fundamental y urgente su aplicación en dicho entorno.

Abstract:

The admiration of the new generations towards american culture to the detriment of their own is a well known fact, by which the revaluation of the artistic spanish heritage is a goal to achieve for society. And that is where the teacher plays a fundamental role, being in direct contact with young people. The following article describes the process followed in a primary school classroom referring to the implementation of a pilot project taking folk dance as an instrument by which the students learn to know and appreciate their own culture, with the conclusion that using this style of dance in the classroom not only yields benefits such as knowledge, recognition and appreciation of the artistic and cultural heritage Spanish, but also at a general level that helps the integral development of students, resulting in this way essential and urgent its application in that environment.
