A MATHEMATICAL TOUR AROUND CIUDAD REAL.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE FIRST CYCLE OF SECONDARY EDUCATION

Abstract

In the present article we show the activities corresponding to a mathematical tour made with the help of the Mathcitymap application. These activities are part of a project developed by a group of students of the University Master in Secondary and Baccalaureate Education, Vocational Training and Language Teaching (Speciality: Mathematics). Their main goal was to show students the presence of Maths in the daily life, to get to ‘remove them’from the classroom. Along a walk through the streets of Ciudad Real, we will get students to use their Maths knowledge, apart from including and relate them with other disciplines.  That is to say, they arent’t only going to work with Maths, but also along this tour, they will be able to learn History, Art or Geography, among others.
