Fund Martinmorales Graphic Humor in the Archive of the University of Granada

Abstract

In this experience, we present the work being carried out for the organization of the Francisco Martín Morales Graphic Humorist Fund. At present, it is in the first stage of the four stages that make up his career. Over 6,000 documents have been inventoried, and it is a medium-term project in terms of cataloging and preservation, due to the specificity of its language and medium. The donation was made to the University of Granada and is of great importance for gaining a different perspective on the history of Spain in the late twentieth century. It also helps us understand the social media landscape that existed during these decades, showing its evolution from the repression of the 1960s to the democracy era until 2010. It represents a journey of over 40 years through graphic humor.
