Ernestina de Champourcin Non-Conformist Woman and Poet of the Generation of '27
Main Article Content
Abstract
Ernestina de Champourcin began writing poetry at a very young age and her last book was published when she was 90 years old, three years before her death in 1999. Thanks to the support of Juan Ramón Jiménez, Ernestina was able to make a niche for herself in the cultural life of the time and to relate to other poets. Member of the Generation of '27, her poetry evolved from a certain romanticism to a more conceptual and refined poetry, marked by religious sentiment. Ignored for a long time, perhaps because of the difficulty of labeling it, in the 80's he received recognition with several awards and tributes. In the General Archive of the University of Navarra her personal collection is kept. According to her wishes, it is freely accessible and available to researchers.
